Bajramovic

In life, Al Simmons killed a number of people in the line of duty. He always told himself he was just following orders, but secretly he relished the murders.

After their deaths, the innocents Al murdered had their souls bound to his Symbiote by Malebolgia. One of those souls was that of a Bosnian named Bajramovic.

Al falsely made it seem as though Bajramovic was implicated in a human trafficing ring in order to cover his own lack of progress on the case. Bajramovic was tortured until he died of a heart attack while being waterboarded.

Barney Saunders

Barney Saunders was seeing a woman named Wilma Barbera just before Armageddon. Wilma was married, but she hated her husband and had been cheating on him for quite some time. One day when her husband Fred came home early, Barney was forced to hide in the garbage chute. Soon after, Armageddon came and Barney was left alone, trapped in the chute.

After the White Light, however, Wilma heard a voice coming from the chute telling her to kill Fred - so she did by filling his peanut-butter sandwich with broken glass. As it turned out, the voice from the chute was the Violator - he had possessed the body of Barney.

Later, when Sam, Twitch and Spawn confronted the Violator, they brought Wilma with them. She was able to 'bring Barney to the surface' long enough for Spawn to force Violator through a portal to Hell and then seal it closed. Unfortunately for Wilma, Barney pulled her with them into Hell, angry that she had abandoned him.

Belial

Belial was one of God's chosen angels, and is the father of Fury, Faith and Fantasy. His peers believed that he would be a leader one day, but his hubris and self-absorption led to his actions requiring punishment.

Belial did not take punishment well, and he joined Hell to take vengeance upon Heaven. There he became the Dark Angel of Fear.

Belial ascended the ranks of Hell, and whereas he sees Satan as the chairman so to speak, he thinks of himself as the president. He took it upon himself to fill mankind with fear.

Al Simmons once tried to stop Belial from instilling fear in mankind, but Belial explained that he does so out of love, that fear gives us purpose and prepares us for eternity.

Later, Belial became more intimately involved with Simmons when he orchestrated Wanda's murder and attempted to kidnap Al's father's soul.
