Godsend |
|
An angel that was sent by Gabrielle to confront Al Simmons at a Washington DC protest.
Godsend, sensing Spawn's reluctance to reveal his true form in front of the humans watching, sealed the two of them in a glass-like dome. Once inside, Godsend tried to convince Spawn to join Heaven, if only temporarily, to defeat Hell.
Resistant as always, Spawn declined and a battle ensued. Godsend was surprised to find out Spawn was much more powerful than he should have been, and was subsequently defeated by Spawn.
Godsend then teamed up with the Redeemer and Cogliostro, as well as his group of warrior angels called The Rapture, to defeat Al Simmons together. Upon Al's detonation of his symbiote, however, it appeared as though Godsend had been destroyed. |

Greg Kulbiczi |
|
Skybound Research was a program that used to employ brothers named Greg and Brian Kulbiczi. While working for Skybound, they developed a machine capable of detecting after-life and giving them a “meta-signal”. After being fired from the program, the brothers continued their research and rebuilt the machine on their own.
Mark became obsessed with tracking down the being called Spawn, and sank deep into drugs, alcohol, depression, and paranoia, before disappearing entirely. Greg never gave up hope tracking him down, however. Before disappearing, Mark and Greg had implanted chips in one another that would alert each other whenever one was near potential 'afterlife'.
When an alert came, Greg felt he might finally find his brother. Searching, he was attacked by an army of demons (that had been raised by the Violator), but was saved by Overtkill and the Freak. When Greg realized that the Freak was actually his brother, Freak stabbed Greg to death, saying he's a hero now, with no time for brothers. |
